Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact
The incumbent will typically have broad knowledge of the UK Nuclear industry and experience/proficiency in sales and business development or a willingness to quickly learn. It will be necessary to have, or quickly gain, a comprehensive knowledge of Kinectrics and the overall services that may be supplied. Accounts frequently have multiple buying locations and varied buying practices, making establishment and maintenance of broad customer relationships essential.
This position reports to the Managing Director of KUK - Nuclear. This position will have access to highly confidential information and recommendations and decisions will have a direct impact on the strategic and tactical direction of the company and will impact such issues as service offerings and new product development.
General Accountabilities
Accountability Objective:
To understand the strategic objectives of UK Nuclear customers. To develop and implement account plans in consultation with the Ops teams. Account Plans to include multi-year action plans, order intake revenue plans. The account plans will be centered around:
- Understanding of the customer strategic drivers and opportunities that will emerge and ensure Kinectrics is prepared (1-3 year Horizon).
- Development of a zipper plan to ensure that major decision makers within the customer organization are aware of Kinectrics fit for chosen opportunities.
- Development of capture plans for the strategic opportunities, defining Kinectrics win themes, partnering arrangements and where appropriate new product development (NPD) and/or inclusion in the innovation roadmap process.
- Monitor day to day activities with the client and their supply chain processes and co-ordinate the responses as required.
- Understand the client and ensure a smooth flow of information happens to the various Kinectrics operational departments.
- Contractual and MSA related negotiations with the client as required.
Promote the active use of CRM/Salesforce to organize Kinectrics and monitor account performance against the strategy, developing and implementing improvement actions and contingency plans as appropriate.
To meet account strategy and order targets to help meet and where possible exceed the business plan.
Champion client interests within Kinectrics to ensure optimum customer satisfaction.
Major Responsibilities: (This is not intended to be a complete list and other duties may be assigned by management).
- Act as internal champion within Kinectrics for UK Nuclear clients with overview of all Kinectrics activities.
- Maintain and grow UK Nuclear relationships and meet strategic goals and personal orders targets. Be aware of the clients’ longer term needs (3-5 years) and ensure Kinectrics will be ready to respond and grow to meet their needs.
- Coordinate Kinectrics interaction with UK Nuclear clients and support client engagement attending client functions, conferences, and connecting department leads to clients.
- Ensure that Kinectrics establish and builds strong client relationships. This includes meeting with the client at their locations where possible.
- Gather client feedback and communicate internally to ensure feedback leads to positive change.
- Develop new business opportunities and grow value of orders according to established targets within the UK Nuclear portfolio.
- Support bid preparation, and negotiation of significant opportunities.
- Guide internal clients on strategic opportunities utilizing data tools like Salesforce and SAP. Assist them with business planning through inclusion of new opportunities. Provide feedback and client intelligence (i.e., quality, customer satisfaction, safety, technical problems, and competitive intelligence).
- Identify sales leads and work with the business team in sales planning, follow-through and close.
- Identify service and market development priorities.
- Enhance Kinectrics internal and external image and market presence.
- Maintain a customer profile through public speaking, writing, networking, association participation etc.
- Support collections processes where called upon to do so.
What You Need to Succeed
Completion of a 3-year university degree or higher in either engineering (or a related science), management or marketing.
Demonstrate competence gained in business development and/or Nuclear Industry Experience.
An understanding of people management and profit and loss accountability.
