Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact
We are looking for Engineers who are passionate about the environment and want to help create a low carbon future. As part of our team, you will get to work in partnership with our clients, visit nuclear power stations and be involved in the growth of fusion energy research projects such as JET, ITER, MAST, STEP and DEMO.

General Accountabilities
You will be required to work on a variety of projects across stress analysis, fracture assessment and finite element analysis of the existing fleet of AGR and PWR nuclear power stations and the development of a new fleet of EPR nuclear power stations.
• Responsible for project management and delivery, complying with clients’ specifications and working alongside your project manager to ensure cost, time and performance indicators are met.
• Maintain compliance with engineering standards and applicable legislation.
• Continuous communication, liaison and co-operation with clients, providing regular updates on progress and performance.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients.
• Ensuring the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act are understood and complied with.
• Maintain an open line of communication with the project manager to align objectives and to ensure that every project is delivered on time and on budget.
• Maintain and promote strong work ethics and discipline.
• Ensure a consistent approach towards project management and reporting towards our clients.
• Promote collaboration with colleagues and clients.
What You Need to Succeed
Degree qualified or equivalent (e.g. HNC/HND with significant experience) in relevant engineering discipline with extensive design experience.
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience and/or transferable skills. Demonstrable experience in the nuclear industry would be a plus.
Extensive knowledge of modelling and analysis of mechanical components and assemblies.
Knowledge of FEA and computer aided engineering software such as ABAQUS and COMSOL.
Detailed knowledge of national and international codes, specifications and standards.
Development of designs against Safety Case requirements and Engineering Design Safety Principles.
Willing to work for a variety of clients and to work at client premises as required.
