This exciting opportunity offers the potential to further develop Kinectrics’ capabilities and expertise in large-scale projects, as well as expand the company’s presence in Romania. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Romanian client with simulator training for their new generation of operators, as well as training internal simulator instructors. 

 

General Accountabilities 

  • Provide Simulator and classroom training for the initial authorization and re-authorization of operating personnel
  • Design, develop, and implement training programs for initial authorization and continuous training
  • Develop detailed charts, plans, programs, and lists of activities required for the implementation of training programs
  • Development of scenarios for Simulator Training
  • Delivery and evaluation of the courses required for authorized personnel training
  • Analysis of operating personnel performance in the simulator, identifying solutions to address deficiencies
  • Development and administration of internal theoretical and practical tests to verify that training objectives have been mastered
  • Validation of operational procedures in the Simulator and proposing solutions for any identified deficiencies
  • Providing remedial solutions if the expected training standards are not met by candidates
  • Preparation of training reports as required by plant processes
  • Support in the process of selection and promotion of operating personnel
  • Support in events/accidents analysis and providing solutions
  • Including internal and external OPEX in training activities
  • Training/development of new simulator instructors through mentorship and coaching
  • Optimization and improvement of the delivered programs

 

Selection Criteria 

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the past 10 years as a Simulator Instructor in a CANDU Power Plant in Canada classified at an industry excellence level based on INPO/WANO standards
  • Experience in the preparation of initial operator authorization or continuous training of authorized personnel
  • Have been authorized to operate CANDU NPPs
  • Certified as a Simulator Instructor for CANDU NPPs
  • Comprehensive understanding of nuclear plant technology, design, and operation
  • Demonstrated capability to manage and lead 
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality products under tight timelines and high pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain excellent client relationships 
  • Have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and have demonstrated a high commitment to quality 
  • Drives results at all levels 
  • Romanian Language proficiency would be beneficial, but is not a requirement 

 

This role requires full-time relocation to Cernavoda, Romania for an extended duration. The successful candidate must have a willingness to relocate to Romania for project execution.
