Kinectrics AES-Design Engineering Services provides engineering services to the nuclear industry playing an important role in working toward a clean energy future.
Our Engineers work in cross-disciplinary teams on client projects involving design, modification and analysis with primary focus on design of modifications of various power generation facilities throughout the country. You will support project teams involved in all aspects of design, including specifications and selection, preparation of calculations, engineering packages and technical reports to support client requirements. Occasional travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for coordination and field verification of designs required. Kinectrics offers flexible WFH/Office schedule.
About the Job
As an entry-level engineer you will work with a team of engineers on client projects involving civil/structural design, modification and analysis with primary focus on design of modifications to the physical structures of nuclear power plants. As you begin to learn the requirements of the role and you will apply your academic knowledge to solve a wide variety of civil engineering issues.
- Working in coordination with a cross-functional team of engineering disciplines, you will support project teams involved in the design, modification and analysis of power plant systems.
- Under direct supervision you will create designs, prepare calculations, specifications and technical reports to support client requirements.
- Occasional travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant site locations for construction coordination and field verification of designs required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or associated field.
- 0-2 years of related practical work experience.
- Academic knowledge and experience gained through internships or co-op positions of related engineering discipline.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Experience using CAD software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e. without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future)
