Job Description

Kinectrics is currently recruiting for a detail-oriented, reliable, engineer capable of performing stress analyses, preparing piping and engineering specifications and ensuring code compliance. You will be working with a team of engineers across disciplines and locations on client projects involving modifications to existing power generation facilities and plant systems for today's leading energy providers. Kinectrics offers a flexible WFH/Office schedule.

The right candidate will be capable of preparing reports, correspondence, procedures, specifications and technical calculations.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform calculations, develop isometrics, and provide design recommendations, specifications, and design change packages
  • Lead design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design team
  • Provide technical support for field execution, including outage/turnaround projects
  • Assist in constructability planning, proposal, and estimate development
  • Mentor junior engineers

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: B.S. in an Engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited university
  • Experience: 5-10 years of progressive responsible experience in piping/mechanical engineering in a nuclear environment
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of ASME B31.1, ASME III, Class 1/2/3 piping required
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e. without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Knowledge of ME101, AutoPIPE, SuperPipe, AutoCAD, Laser Scanning and GTStrudl preferred
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
