About the Role
The Project Manager – High Voltage (HV) Cables leads the planning and execution of HV cable testing and commissioning projects across North America. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and aligned with client expectations, while serving as a key liaison between clients, technical teams, and field operations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

  • Plan and deliver HV cable projects, defining scope, schedules, and deliverables
  • Coordinate with clients, technical leads, and field teams to ensure aligned execution
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and drive projects to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets
  • Provide regular project updates and support successful close-out, including documentation and lessons learned

 

Coordination & Resources

  • Manage internal resources, field crews, and equipment deployment
  • Collaborate with operations and vendors to support smooth project delivery
  • Support site planning, scheduling, and execution readiness

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients
  • Lead meetings, manage expectations, and resolve issues proactively
  • Build strong relationships to support repeat business and client satisfaction

Project Controls

  • Track budgets, schedules, and forecasts
  • Identify variances and support corrective actions
  • Assist with change orders, invoicing, and reporting consistency

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 3-5 years experience managing engineering projects in the utility or energy sector
  • HV cable, substation, or commissioning experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
