Senior Electrical Engineer-ETAP

Position Overview:
As an Electrical Engineer with a focus on power analysis, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing electrical power systems. Your expertise in ETAP (Electrical Transient Analyzer Program) and other power analysis tools will be crucial in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our clients’ power systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Power System Analysis: Perform detailed power system analysis, including load flow, short circuit, transient stability, and harmonic analysis using ETAP and other relevant software.
- Design and Optimization: Develop and optimize electrical power system designs, including generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive reports on power system performance, including recommendations for improvements and solutions to identified issues.
- Simulation and Modeling: Create and run simulations to predict the behavior of power systems under various conditions and scenarios.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all designs and analyses comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
- Project Support: Collaborate with project teams to provide technical support and expertise throughout the project lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in power systems and ETAP software to continuously improve analysis methodologies and tools.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., PE) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in power system analysis, with a strong emphasis on using ETAP software.
- Skills: Proficiency in ETAP software and other power system analysis tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of power system design, load flow analysis, short circuit analysis, and transient stability.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and contribute to achieving project goals.
- Familiarity with relevant industry standards and codes (e.g., IEEE, ANSI).
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
