About the Position  

  • Department: Finance
  • Location: 800 Kipling Avenue, Toronto – On-site
  • Term Length: 8 months
  • Year of Study: 3rd or 4th year preferred
  • Salary: The hourly rate for this position is $20.78-$25.67 per hour. Please note, the salary information provided is  intended to be used as a guideline. Final rate offered will vary upon candidate’s prior co-op/work experience, years of study completed, relevant skills, as well as internal equity considerations.

How You Will Make an Impact 

The finance team at our Toronto location supports the Canadian and international subsidiaries for customer billing and collections, supplier payments and financial reporting. The successful candidate will be supporting the Director of Business Decision Support & Financial Performance.

 

This opportunity involves responsibilities including but not limited to: 

  • Prepare and input data to appropriate business and accounting systems such as SAP
  • Run financial reports from SAP
  • Assist in the preparation of the board report
  • Provide various types of financial support such as reconciliations, maintaining records, and processing updates to databases
  • Perform administrative tasks and calculations
  • Prepare purchase requisitions to order materials, supplies, and/or equipment
  • Assist with mail coordination and delivery
  • Assist with filing
  • Perform other duties as required

 

What You Need to Succeed 

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary, undergraduate Accounting, Finance, or Business program, requiring a co-op placement and returning to full time studies after the work term(s)
  • High level of initiative, and analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication, time management and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft including strong Excel skills would be an asset
