Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact

 

  • Support a variety of projects within Nuclear Equipment Solutions team including design/build and testing of parts, equipment, and skid-based process systems.
  • Have an understanding and ability to apply systems (Software, PLC, Control Systems) engineering fundamentals to design and build of equipment and skid-based process systems, and tooling systems
  • Prepare design packages which may include but not limited to design plans, design requirements, design requirements traceability matrices and other design outputs as required.
  • Support design and development of control systems for skids-based process system, tooling and other machine systems using a variety of tools (C#, C++, Siemens, Schneider, Beckhoff and other control systems).
  • Develop equipment specifications and selection for systems which may include electrical, controls software and I&C.
  • Identify equipment suppliers and work with them to ensure conformance with the specification. Working with equipment suppliers can include activities such as site visits to review system compliance to specifications, drawings/schematics, and testing procedures.
  • Able to work under the direction of Technical Team Lead and Subject Matter Experts to develop conceptual designs and turn them into detailed design packages
  • Prepare test procedures for functional testing, and factory acceptance testing to a high degree of accuracy and meeting the requirements of Kinectrics quality program.
  • Support development of control philosophy and instrument selection with multi-disciplinary engineering team (mechanical, electrical, process, etc)
  • Work independently and as part of engineering teams to contribute and prepare technical evaluations, technical procedures, technical test plans, data analysis, report preparation and report reviews.
  • Liaise with customers, staff, contractors, consultants, and vendors as appropriate.
  • Assist in procurement engineering activities such as preparing procurement plans, incoming inspections, scope of work, reviewing terms and identifying appropriate risks.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in the technical processes and support change derived from lessons learned.
  • Take part in R&D projects.
  • Review & interpret process and electrical design drawings.
  • Lead or assist in developing proposals for internal and external customers.
  • Perform project management and other assigned duties on as needed basis.
  • Act as a technical support for Department Manager and others in the department.
  • Assist in the negotiation and administration of contracts, including cost estimates, schedule, and resources required.
  • Carry out customers’ work and prepare reports with recommendations based on results achieved.
  • Travel to client sites for meetings, client visits, site walk-downs and observations.
  • Represents Kinectrics at conferences.
  • Perform other duties as required.
