Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact
- Prepare, process, and provide services to effectively support Project & Facilities functions at the Kipling site.
- Conform to all Kinectrics safety, quality, ethical, environmental and security policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Respond to service calls and routine client inquiries that involve forklift capabilities, site maintenance, moving skids from one area to another, moving boxes, etc.
- Emergency response and cleanup after incidents that potentially or do result in property damage.
- Coordinate and perform assigned preventative maintenance tasks for the Project & Facilities function at Kipling site.
- Maintain and troubleshoot security gates on Kipling site.
- Support snow removal and clearing at Kipling site.
- Responsible for general office housekeeping and cleaning needs.
- Coordinate and facilitate contractors working on site safely.
- Coordinate and perform assigned preventative maintenance of equipment. Maintain equipment through routine inspections and repairs.
- Wildlife and pest control around site.
- Provide project support, as required.
- Operate motorized equipment and use hand tools related to the job safely.
- Perform other duties as required.
What You Need to Succeed
- Completion of High School or equivalent.
- Holds forklift operating certificate with experience moving heavy equipment/loads, and operating skid steers.
- Requires strong experience/comprehensive knowledge of managing security gate issues including troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Requires Class G license or higher with 3 years minimum experience of snow removal/clearing and driving plough trucks.
- Requires strong experience with rough and finish carpentry using steel and wood material along with installing, preparing, and finishing drywall.
- Any other certificates or accreditations will be seen as an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast paced and physically demanding environment including standing for extended period, crouching, kneeling etc.
- Demonstrated customer focused approach to work.
- Ability to work independently or effectively as part of a team, as required by the assigned tasks.
- Self-motivated, positive, enthusiastic, proactive, reliable and ambitious.
- Must have strong prioritizing and time management skills with a strong work ethic.
- Pride in work, cleanliness and strong organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong capabilities in working with Microsoft Office suite software. Other software knowledge is an asset.
- Prepared to work flexible hours from time to time.
- Prepared to travel to and work at different sites as required.
- Experience with workplace organization and safety standards is preferred.
