About the Position

  • Department: Human Resources, Payroll & HR Systems (HR)
  • Location: 800 Kipling Avenue, Toronto, ON - Onsite
  • Term Length: 4 or 8 months
  • Salary: The hourly rate for this position is $20.78-$25.67 per hour. Please note, the salary information provided is intended to be used as a guideline. Final rate offered will vary upon candidate’s prior co-op/work experience, years of study completed, relevant skills, as well as internal equity considerations.

 

How You Will Make an Impact 

This opportunity involves responsibilities including but not limited to: 

  • Provide payroll documentation support
  • Perform and verify various calculations
  • Using multiple  HR Systems  to maintain and report on employee data  
  • Track 401K contributions and targets for US payrolls
  • SAP data maintenance and reports
  • Support various parts of the organization by reporting, summarizing and providing HR data
  • Assist with testing and rollout of new HR systems e.g. expanded areas of SAP
  • Perform internal HR audits
  • Support time data entries and reporting, including timesheet reversals
  • Support other areas of HR e.g. Benefits team as needed
  • Provide administrative support and perform other duties as assigned
  • Specific assignments will vary with the skills and experience of the successful applicant.

 

What You Need to Succeed 

  • Currently enrolled full-time in a post-secondary undergraduate Human Resources program requiring a co-op placement
  • Excellent customer service orientation and interpersonal skills in order to work co-operatively with employees, management and union representatives
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong desire to learn
  • Eligibility for 8-month co-op placement preferred
