Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact

  • Creation, production, and issuance of purchase orders
  • Creation, and issuance of Requests for Quotations
  • Expedite purchase orders where necessary.
  • Closing of expired purchase orders
  • Generate monthly ISO reports for purchasing service levels.
  • Generate monthly open order reports and issue to various departments.
  • Assist staff or other members with vendor resolutions.
  • Execution of purchasing contracts and amendments
  • Negotiate cost reductions and efficiencies.
  • Provide staff with support to resolve tax, price, or receipt issues.
  • Provide coverage for purchase order receipting as backup.
  • Directly respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations, and solve problems.
  • Perform duties in a safe/compliant manner with respect to Kinectrics policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

What You Need to Succeed

  • Completion of Community College plus additional specialized courses in Purchasing or equivalent
  • Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation or equivalent, or at an advanced standing of the key modules and interactive workshops.
  • Experience in negotiating strategic purchasing contracts with terms favourable to the company requirements.
  • A recognized authority in the field of Purchasing
  • Regarded as an expert in Buying and has extensive knowledge in this field.
  • Understanding of purchasing law and can execute purchasing contracts.
  • Understand principal transportation terms and conditions.
  • Fluent in cross-border functionalities and processes for export and import
  • Expertise in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel, etc.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP or relative applications experience in Purchasing, Inventory or Accounting
  • Excellent organizational skills and time management
  • Ability to work effectively and build teams.
  • Ability to act as a spokesperson for Kinectrics.
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and resourcefulness in resolving problems.
  • Superior leadership and supervisory skills
  • Proven high level of customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Assertive and can deal with all levels of staff within the organization.
  • Operates with a high level of ethical values.
  • Previous experience in a multi-faceted purchasing and/or manufacturing environment
  • Experience in solving complex problems where solutions require considerable investigation to resolve and often require integration of a number of fields.
  • A minimum of 8 years related experience or equivalent.
