What will you do to make an impact at Kinectrics?

 

Reporting to the Director, Strategic Marketing and Sales, the Marketing department is seeking a Multimedia Designer Co-op Student. Job duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Products visually compelling graphics, layouts, media and illustrations for digital and printed materials including brochures, presentations, advertisements, tradeshow banners, signage/posters, illustrations and social media posts using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Canva or similar.
  • Create motion/animated graphics and videos for tradeshows, website, and social media.
  • Assist in the coordination of local and global trade shows as needed.
  • Maintain and adhere to Kinectrics’ brand guidelines to create visually engaging materials.
  • Work with internal departments to collect approved content for marketing materials.
  • Review final graphic design layouts and continuously elevate creative output.
  • Prepare digital media files for print production.
  • Coordinate with outside agencies for final production.
  • Support the marketing department with other duties as necessary.

 

What do you need to be successful?

  • Enrolled in a Digital Media, Graphic Design or Marketing related program at University or College
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.), Canva and/or editing tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, or Final Cut Pro, Figma and Canva
  • Experience with photography is considered an asset
  • Understanding of both digital and print design, with a solid understanding of colour theory, typography, composition and prepress
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong communication and visualization skills
  • High level of initiative and ability to receive instructions and work independently
