Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact
We are seeking a Software Engineer/Analyst (Full-Stack Developer) for our Toronto (Ontario) location. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence, web applications, and internal tools that support analytics, reporting, and operational workflows. You will work as part of a small collaborative team building scalable frontend and backend solutions used by internal and client‑facing applications.

- Perform all work in compliance with Kinectrics Business Code of Conduct, HSE requirements and other applicable policies, procedures, standards, codes and requirements.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain full‑stack applications using modern web technologies
- Develop a sound understanding of the intended system operation, formalizing design requirements, developing and testing software that satisfies the design requirements and resolving issues through troubleshooting.
- Build front‑end interfaces using React/Typescript
- Design and implement scalable back‑end API endpoints and data workflows
- Integrate applications with SQL databases and existing internal systems
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into reliable technical solutions
- Contribute to UI/UX improvements, application architecture, and performance optimization
- Document application designs, data flows, and development procedures
- Provide support to team members and internal users regarding application functionality and best practices
- Ensure staff and customers are provided with timely and accurate project information and status updates
- Perform onsite commissioning and troubleshooting
- Other duties as required
What You Need to Succeed
- Completion of a 4-year university undergraduate or graduate degree (or equivalent diploma/work experience) in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in full-stack development or similar software engineering/development role
- Experience with React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, and component‑based UI development required
- Proficiency with SQL, including writing optimized queries and designing efficient schemas required
- Solid experience with .NET / C# backend development, including building APIs, services, and application logic required
- Experience with Azure services such as App, SQL, or Functions (considered an asset)
- Proficiency with Visual Studio Code, Git, and modern CI/CD workflows
- Experience consuming and building REST APIs, integrating frontend and backend services
- Familiarity with business intelligence: Power BI, reporting tools considered an asset
- Basic knowledge of ORACLE Primavera P6 considered an asset
- Bruce Power Security Clearance considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate with peers and multidisciplinary teams
- Working knowledge and experience of use of appropriate codes and standards as applied to nuclear plants and conventional nuclear considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Willing to travel occasionally to other Kinectrics and Client sites as needed
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a valid nuclear security clearance.
This role requires the successful candidate to complete the security clearance process. The security clearance process is conducted in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) and the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) and may take up to 12 months to complete.
